Biography

Professor Ivo Petrov is a leading Bulgarian cardiologist and pioneer in endovascular therapy. As the Head of the Cardiology and Angiology Department at Acibadem City Clinic, he has introduced groundbreaking interventional procedures for treating complex cardiovascular conditions, including aortic dissection and ischemic stroke. A key figure in the advancement of endovascular treatments in Bulgaria, Prof. Petrov performed the first-ever endovascular therapy for children with aortic dissection. His expertise extends to medical education, as he holds a professorship at Sofia University and is actively involved in clinical research.
