Prof. Elisa Anamaria Liehn is a Professor at University of Southern Denmark. Having graduated Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Institute for Molecular Cardiovascular Research, University Hospital Aachen, Germany and being a member of the German Society for Cardiology, the European Society for Cardiology and American Heart Association, Prof. Liehn’s research experience is on an international level. She emphasizes special focus on studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases, in order to develop novel therapeutical strategies. With over 25 research collaborations around the world, she has also vastly contributed to the adequat functionalisation of the surfaces of cardiovascular implants, such as vascular grafts or stents.
